Parma Calcio expresses its deepest condolences for the passing of Dr. Massimo Manara, Parma's former team doctor. Dr. Manara passed away at the age of 63, and the Sampdoria, the team he was working for until a few days ago, also expressed their condolences. Dr. Manara arrived at Parma in the early 1990s as a team doctor and, from the mid-1990s to the 2007/2008 season, held the role of Head of Medical Services, contributing with competence, dedication, and great professionalism to the life of the club. The family, his loved ones, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him send their heartfelt condolences from the entire Parma Calcio. Today is a sad day for U.C. Sampdoria and the international sports medicine world. Dr. Massimo Manara, the team's head of medical services and a respected professional in the field, passed away in his hometown of Parma at the age of 63. With Dr. Manara's passing, we lose a great professional and a person of high moral value, a figure who will not be easily replaced in our club's structure. In these two seasons at Sampdoria, we have indeed appreciated his work, his competence, and his humanity. That's why, from the bottom of our hearts, we remember him today, expressing our closeness to his beloved son and to his entire family.
