Parma Calcio hosted the panel 'The value of women's football in international context' in Parma. The panel was organized by the Italian Footballers' Association together with the Italian Football League. Among the speakers were Sara Gama (Vice President of AIC), Marta Carissimi (Head of Women's Football Genoa CFC), Danilo Sciò (Chief Revenue Officer Parma Calcio), Stefano Braghin (Women's Football Director Juventus FC). The debate was introduced by Fabio Poli, Director of Organizational Affairs AIC, who presented the report produced by the Women's Football Sector AIC, which compared the data of the Italian system and international trends. From ticketing to sponsors and commercial revenues, from institutional contributions to the transfer market of female players to television broadcasters: the interventions highlighted, on the one hand, the great growth of the movement in our country, on the other hand, the still evident gap with the main international championships, the American and English ones in particular. 'Being here inside the Serie A Festival to talk about women's football' - declared the Vice President of AIC Sara Gama - 'has a great value because, as we have always maintained, for the good of our football, both male and female, it is fundamental that all components work together towards common objectives. I thank the Italian Football League for reserving a space for discussion and confrontation with a part of our system that is increasingly important. As AIC, we wanted to focus on the challenges that today concern women's football at the highest levels. The context is unique: there are transversal dynamics in all football and specific dynamics of the women's movement, for which it is necessary to build targeted solutions. Among the central themes is certainly that of infrastructure, a challenge that concerns the entire system: from large stadiums, also in view of Euro 2032, to medium and small-sized facilities, training fields and structures for activity on the territory. Clubs, Federation and institutions must work together to support this growth path, through concrete investments and policies capable of accompanying the development of women's football.' After the panel, Luigi De Siervo, CEO of Lega A and Lorenzo Dallari took the stage, awarding the attendees and recalling the collaboration between AIC and Lega for the realization of the Gran Galà del Calcio AIC on September 2nd at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. Present for AIC were also Chiara Marchitelli, Ilaria Pasqui and Fabio Appetiti.
